Use an AI assistant

Connect your assistant, upload finished content and approve posts for your connected accounts.

Use a compatible AI assistant to prepare posts, bring in finished images or videos, and review a schedule. Influence handles the connected publishing accounts and delivery. File access and in-chat cards depend on the AI client.

Connect the right workspace

Open Settings → Apps and automations, choose your assistant and follow its setup instructions. Sign in to the intended Influence account and review the permissions. Your ChatGPT or Claude email can differ from your Influence email.

Ask: “Which Influence account and workspace am I connected to?” Check the answer before selecting social accounts. Uploading requires media write access; scheduling requires permission to write posts. Read-only access stays read-only. A renewable OAuth connection also needs your consent to stay connected.

Try a finished post

Upload this finished video. Prepare a LinkedIn Page post for tomorrow at 9:00 in Asia/Bangkok using the caption below. Show me the exact account, video, caption and scheduled time. Stop at the saved review; do not schedule it yet.

Name the intended account and provide the caption. The assistant must be able to access the file or a reachable HTTPS file link. It can also reuse ready media from your Influence library. See media for file limits and transfer options.

Check the complete review before approving. A supported in-chat card shows the content and an approval button. Otherwise, the assistant must show every account, caption, setting, media preview or link, and time before asking for a fresh explicit “approved” reply. Editing any of those details calls for a new review.

TikTok Direct requires interactive privacy, interaction and consent choices in a supported card or the Influence editor. TikTok inbox posting finishes in TikTok. WhatsApp visual messages require signed-in Influence review.

Schedule several posts

Give the assistant the finished text, media, destinations and times for up to 10 posts at once, with up to 50 account or recipient deliveries in the set. It can save the drafts and reviews together. Review every post and approve the displayed set once. Different destinations can use different text and media.

Scheduling allowance

AI scheduling shares one rolling 24-hour allowance across your workspace, including Influence IQ and connected AI clients:

Plan Newly scheduled destinations
Starter 20
Growth 50
Pro 100

One post scheduled to three accounts uses three slots. Scheduling another post to those accounts uses new slots. Each WhatsApp recipient counts separately. Retrying or rescheduling the same post to the same destination does not count again; canceling does not return a slot. If the whole set exceeds the remaining allowance, none of it is scheduled. Ask for the remaining allowance and when capacity returns, or choose fewer destinations. Workspaces on the internal plan are exempt.

Drafts, publish-now actions, manual web scheduling and ordinary API/CLI automation do not use this allowance. Your plan’s other publishing requirements still apply.

When something stops

  • Tools are missing: if account reads work, refresh the client’s tool list and start a new conversation. Reconnect when authentication or a needed permission is missing.
  • The file cannot be reached: use an accessible HTTPS link, enable supported local transfer, or upload in Influence and resume. Connecting an assistant does not give it access to every file on your computer.
  • The assistant only prepared a request: complete its confirmation step to save the review. Saving is separate from approval to publish.
  • A review expired or changed: request a fresh review and approve that version.
  • A result is uncertain: ask for the saved status before retrying. Check delivery recovery; a timeout does not prove that nothing was published.
