Images and videos

Bring finished media into Influence and check that it is ready for the selected destination.

Upload finished images and videos in Influence, or ask a connected assistant to import a reachable HTTPS file or upload a file it can access. Reuse the ready file across posts instead of uploading it for each destination. Influence does not generate videos or audio.

Choose the transfer method

File or method Limit
Ready compatible H.264/AAC MP4 uploaded directly 5 GB for the library and YouTube; up to 1 GB for other destinations
Video imported from an HTTPS link or an AI host file link 250 MiB
MOV, WebM or M4V that needs conversion 250 MiB
Supported image upload; JPEG, PNG or WebP HTTPS import 20 MiB

A destination can have a lower limit or require a different duration, shape, number of attachments or format. Check its validation messages before scheduling. For a larger video, convert it to a compatible MP4 before uploading directly. The workspace upload allowance is 50 GB and 60 upload starts per rolling 24 hours.

For an assistant upload, the AI runtime needs access to the actual file and permission to transfer it. In supported Claude setups, local transfers may require code execution and network egress; follow the assistant setup instructions. A remote HTTPS import is transferred by Influence and does not need the assistant to run its own upload command. A private local path is not an HTTPS file link.

Wait for ready media

Finishing the transfer can be followed by processing. Attach the file only when it is ready. If a transfer is interrupted, resume the same upload instead of starting copies. Ask the assistant to check the upload status; a failed result should include the reason.

A media preview link can expire. Ask the assistant to refresh the preview rather than upload the file again. Check the actual image or video, including the cover, before approving the post. Uploading does not approve publication.

Match the destination

A video, gallery, Story and Reel have different requirements. Some destinations accept text only or do not support alt text. Use the settings offered for the selected account; an option supported by one account is not automatically available on another.

An Instagram single-video post is published as a Reel; its share-to-feed setting controls feed placement. Stories and carousels use their own rules. TikTok Direct has additional interactive consent requirements explained in the assistant guide.
